Weinberg Campus Technology Park

Halle’s Technology Park is the germ cell for the development of the city from a traditional industrial centre to a high-tech location of the future. Cooperations between research institutes and companies together with joint projects between university and non-university institutions are the key to the successful implementation of this development. Weinberg Campus offers founders of start-up companies and investors top-class research and development partners and the opportunity to benefit from local synergies. Networks develop here in an interdisciplinary and multi-dimensional form.

The second-largest technology park in eastern Germany is only 2.5 km from the city centre. At present more than 100 enterprises and institutions benefit not just from the local concentration of innovative potential and R & D in close contact with business, but also from high-capacity transport links and the park-like landscape in which the campus is located. The advantages provided by this location include not only fully developed business sites but also favourable rents for laboratories and office space, a cutting-edge telecommunications network, consulting and seminar facilities.
